Attention unlocked

As part of my Quest game for Questful participants, 10 places, 30 pages, I get them to share a little treasure to unlock the next prompt.

It’s so fun.

I love seeing (and hearing) what they’ve found, what’s caught their attention.

This is one of my own pictures from a recent Place Quest. I love a mix of magic and jank!

It’s part of a very fun Questful process. One that’s designed to strengthen powers of attention and observation.

It doesn’t take an Einstein to figure why this gets dulled, or frazzled and fried.

What matters is how we choose to rebuild it, amidst our everyday lives.

My prompt for you is to… pay attention to your attention this week.

Where is it going?

Where would you like it to go?

What tickles it?

What holds it?

What steals it?

What might reward it, in a way that you love?

‘Pay attention to your attention’ – Ira Glass (Creator, producer and host of This American Life)

‘One of the most powerful ways to get knowledge about the world is to pay attention.’ – Tina Seelig (Stanford Uni educator, author, and expert in creativity)

If you’d like help rebuilding it through a Quest, just let me know.
